That is so sad. I have been there before, so I understand. But, there is hope. There is healing. There is purpose that can be found in Jesus Christ. I know! He rescued me from that darkness and he brought me into his wonderful light. People will fail us. We will even fail ourselves. God, on the other hand, never fails us. He is there with outstretched arms saying “Come unto me all you who are weak and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” It is light because we allow him to carry it for us. It is light because we give our pain and our suffering to him and we let him fill us with his peace and with his joy.
It doesn’t mean life will get any easier, and it may even get harder, but he will help us through it, if we put our trust in him and we learn from him, and he will give us a new perspective on life and on our sufferings, and if we let him, he will turn the bad around for good in our lives. I have been through many dark days and way more suffering than anyone should ever have to go through, but the Lord has carried me through it all and has brought me through it a whole person who has purpose and joy and even laughter, too. Just know that I feel your pain and I care. I have been there, too. Sue Love
