I find peace in the night
Hearing the sound of the clock
Sitting alone in the candlelight
Letting my thoughts race around in my head
Thinking about the sound of seconds in time
Forgetting most of the things I said
Telling myself that I am fine….
Minutes turn into days
Days turn into years
Tick tock sounds the clock
Tick tock… echo’s the sound of my fears
I wrote this a few months ago, was feeling it tonight so I decided to share.

I love those moments of solace at night when everything is quiet and I can go take a walk and let my thoughts roam freely in my mind.

I hate the tick tock of a clock. If my sister’s watch is on her desk and we are sleeping, I will get up, turn on the light and toss it in her drawer. I don’t know why tho.
