St Patrick’s has some mixed memories for me, it is a play of great sadness which might have been joy. Yet I will always love its majesty amongst the monoliths to commerce and commercialism, the juxtaposition of the Gods of Old and New facing off across the avenue. It is an island of faith in a sea of faithlessness, yet when it called to me all I could do was light a candle and be thankful that I found it, on a day which for me I thought would be a celebration of love and friendship, not sorrow and grief.
Excuse me for reminiscing but your picture brings back so many memories.
