And I walk this road alone
The road with branches along its path
I look back over my shoulder
And I see the writing on my epitaph…
Here lies a woman who fought until the end
Her life was lived to the fullest
Even though everything she did was unplanned
She was loved by many and will always be remembered
As a free spirit with good intentions
As a woman who fought like hell and never surrendered

I hope the road you’ll eventually be in like myself, will be one with a mildly warm summer day with unicorns and rainbows on either side of the road. After all, there was some hard work completed that was written about on your epitaph.

Writing one’s epitaph is a good exercise in writing! maybe I’ll give it another go. 🙂

Again, amen. Though of course I hope that this is many decades away
